1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how SocialQueue (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our social media scheduling application (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: Name, email address, password (stored hashed), and basic profile data you provide when registering.
  • Social Media Connection Data: Limited profile information and access tokens provided by platforms like Pinterest, Twitter/X, and Facebook when you connect your accounts. We do not store your social media passwords.
  • Usage Data: IP address, browser type, device information, and basic logs about how you use the Service (e.g., login times, pages visited).
  • Content Data: The posts you create in the app (text, titles, image URLs, destination URLs, schedules).

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the Service, including scheduling and publishing your posts to connected social media accounts.
  • To manage your account, authentication, and security.
  • To improve, monitor, and troubleshoot the Service (e.g., logs, error messages).
  • To communicate with you about updates, security notices, or support requests.

4. Social Media Platforms

When you connect a social media account (such as Pinterest, Twitter/X, or Facebook), we use the official APIs to post content on your behalf. What we can do is limited by the permissions you grant during the authorization process and by each platform’s own policies.

  • We store access tokens securely and use them only to perform actions you request (e.g., publish a scheduled post).
  • You can revoke our access at any time from within the app (disconnect account) or from the social platform’s settings.

5. Data Deletion Instructions

If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, you can do so by contacting us at the email below. For Facebook users, you can also request data deletion via the Facebook Settings & Privacy > Settings > Apps and Websites page, where you can remove the app and request that we delete your data. Upon request, we will permanently remove your account information, access tokens, and scheduled posts from our database within 30 days.

6. Cookies and Tracking

We may use cookies or similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and understand basic usage patterns. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work correctly if you disable them.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with:

  • Service providers (e.g., hosting, logging, error tracking) who help us run the Service and are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
  • Legal authorities when required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or users.

8. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may also retain certain information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights over your personal data, such as:

  • Accessing the information we hold about you.
  • Requesting correction or deletion of your data.
  • Objecting to or restricting certain types of processing.
  • Exporting your data where technically feasible.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, such as encryption of sensitive tokens and secure access controls. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or a higher age where required by local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
